Tom Rimshot Initial aerial photography of BXU-22743 seemed to indicate large stretches of soft ice, reflecting much of the twin-star daylight back into the atmosphere and making such photographic pursuits more difficult. Anticipating colder temperatures, the crew of Jovian-3 had begun referring to them as "slush ponds."
