Tom Rimshot CTV was almost my first exposure to David's work - Extreme Scenic Route actually got to me first - but it was indeed the first work of his that really turned my head. Out of all the records he's made with and without me, CTV still sounds totally singular. Perhaps it's that touch of naivete that brings out its charms, or perhaps its simply nostalgia. Whatever the case, CTV is a remarkable little time capsule that remains brilliant while still only hinting at what was yet to come... Favorite track: Hurricane Names.
